The Midas DL16 is a high-performance digital stage box designed for live sound reinforcement, installations and recording applications. With 16 remote-controllable Midas PRO microphone preamps and 8 analogue balanced XLR outputs, it brings studio-grade quality to the stage end. Built into a rugged 2U rack form-factor, the unit connects to a mixing console or digital network over a single Cat-5e cable via AES50 and also supports Ultranet and ADAT connectivity for flexible routing and monitoring.

Ideal for reducing cable runs, simplifying stage-to-FOH connectivity and improving signal integrity, the DL16 gives you premium preamp sound, digital networking and real-world flexibility for rigging in theatres, live venues, houses of worship or mobile production

Key Features

• 16 × fully-programmable Midas PRO mic/line preamps with switchable 48 V phantom power — meaning you get the same preamp design that Midas uses in their flagship consoles.
• 8 × servo-balanced line-level XLR analog outputs — for sending mixes or monitor feeds back to stage.
• Dual AES50 SuperMAC ports (etherCON Cat 5e) – enables high-bandwidth, ultra-low-latency digital audio and control. You can daisy-chain up to three DL16 units for up to 48 inputs and 24 outputs.
• Ultranet port – dedicated digital monitoring bus compatible with Behringer P16 or similar personal-monitoring systems.
• Dual ADAT optical outputs (Toslink) – provides 16-channel digital output to ADAT-compatible devices, or acts as a splitter for recording applications.
• Front-panel headphone output and monitoring controls – allows quick on-stage checking of any input or output channel.
• Rugged steel 2U rack chassis with auto-ranging PSU – built to withstand the rigours of touring and installation use.
